 Set at an upscale Preparatory School in the Bronx, New York at the end of the sixties, Bronx River North is the story of the improbable, yet dynamic relationship of a blue-collar local kid and four well-heeled commuters from the suburbs just north of the city. 

 In the post-pandemic era, fifty-year-old professor Gianluca Morelli decides to call it quits after twenty years teaching at New York University. His plan is to take his pension and move south. He is an avowed bachelor, has had girlfriends and lovers, but has avoided falling in love. His route to Florida is interrupted, and he ends up in a small Georgia town where he meets the improbable Layla, the woman who will cause him to question his entire existence. 

 In 1967 my Italian immigrant parents decided to move our family from the Bronx back to their small town in Italy. My story is written mostly in English interspersed with Neapolitan and Italian dialogue. Those knowledgeable of either will enjoy the expressions. Others will know what is going on because the dialogues are either translated or explained.
